Volunteers to facilitate ongoing Talaash survey in Srinagar for indentification, enrollment and mainstreaming of OOSC in J&K

Srinagar, June 7th: To expedite ongoing Talaash survey, a joint training of NDF volunteers and ZNO's of Srinagar was held today at Govt. Higher Secondary School Kothi Bagh Srinagar in which 21 volunteers and 19 officers of the Education Department participated. The training was organized by National Development Foundation Jammu in collaboration with the Samagra Shiksha, CEO office Srinagar with support from UNICEF India.

CEO Srinagar Manjoor Ahmed inaugurated the training and appealed the participants to ensure quality keeping your own children in mind. Syeed Fayaz Ahmed Coordinator Samagra Shiksha, Mr Danish Aziz education specialist UNICEF, Ashfaq ED JKASW also interacted with the participants prominent among others present on the occasion include Dy. CEO Srinagar Mr.Anjum Raja, Manna Biswas from UNICEF, Showket I/C Samagra Shiksha CEO office, Bal Ji Raina, Mohsin Ali, Qysar Afzal and Amit Kundal. Participants were trained on various aspects of the Talaash application for identification, enrollment and mainstreaming of Out Of School Children.

Rajiv Khajuria, President/ CEO National Development Foundation in his address called upon the volunteers to undertake quality survey as per the guidelines under the app. He stressed upon the need to expedite survey in the limits of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in a time bound manner.

CEO Srinagar Manzoor Ahmed elaborated that the survey is being carried out by school Education Depart-ment throughout the state and district Srinagar is undertaking the assignment very seriously. He directed the DNO's and ZNO's to effectively liaise with the volunteers deputed by National Development Foundation. He also called upon the teacher to speedup survey for its time bound completion. He thanked National Development Foundation for deputing volunteers with education department Srinagar for undertaking survey in the limits of Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
